Expansion: Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is the world’s largest hotel franchise company, with approximately 9,100 hotels in more than 95 countries.
Representatives of the prestigious Wyndham Garden chain inaugurated their first hotel in the Dominican Republic, located in El Morro, Montecristi.
The tourism project has 60 rooms on four levels, ample parking, a swimming pool, a restaurant, a lobby bar with co-working spaces, and a gym with training mirrors by Tonal.
It is one of 18 select and limited service hotels from Wyndham Hotels & Resorts that will be developed by Grupo De Valle and its partners before the end of 2027, following the success of Super 8 by Wyndham Manzanillo, which opened in December 2022.
Both hotels are located in the same Montecristi region, which boasts unique natural and historical riches that make them ideal additions to Wyndham’s growing portfolio and its award-winning Wyndham Rewards loyalty program.
In his speech, Edward De Valle II, CEO of Grupo De Valle, said: “We believe that domestic travelers will continue to seek unique experiences and destinations within the Dominican Republic. Our extensive presence in the country will allow us to welcome new generations of guests to enjoy all that Wyndham has to offer.”
Douglas M. Smith, Development VP, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, emphasized: “These new openings are an indicator of the long-term potential we see in the Dominican Republic and reinforce Wyndham’s ongoing commitment to bringing our globally recognized brands to key markets around the world. By introducing the Wyndham Garden brand to the Dominican Republic, we are delivering on our promise to make hotel stays possible for everyone.”
